For the last couple months I have been living my million dollar dream. My dream is to travel all 50 states a little at a time. It may take me several years, but I am not in a hurry. My health is good and I earn money with my home based business on the road. My home based business travels with me. It can be done anywhere anytime.
My husband and I are in the process of purchasing an RV. We have not decided on what type yet, so we are currently traveling by pickup truck and tent. I know it is hard to believe at 64 I would be sleeping on an air mattress inside of a tent and eating off paper plates. I love it. I do not have to wash dishes
I am grateful I am healthy, alive, walking, talking and seeing this beautiful world. I have seen some beautiful places. Our travels have been happy times.
When living in a tent the world on the outside and inside is your home. Since I was a young girl I have been coloring my hair. It has been every color in the rainbow. When you color your hair while you are living in a house no one sees the process except your family members.
One day recently I decided I could not wait another day without coloring my hair. So if you can picture this I was sitting at the picnic table in my screen tent. The screen tent became my beauty salon. My husband helps me color my hair. He has on plastic gloves mixing the color getting ready to separate and color my hair. He has been coloring my hair for years, so he has it down to a science. The rest is wait and see. So for 40 minutes I wait for the color to take so I can wash the color out of my hair. And it came out just as good as any beauty parlor has ever done it
It is a funny thing when you are living in a campground. People walk over to introduce themselves and say “hello.” Imagine this…a very nice man walks up to our camp site to say “hello.” I had no place to hide, so I just said “hello.” I caught him off guard, but he started laughing. He is a full timer. A full timer is someone who lives and travels the road 12 months of the year. He has seen a lot over the years. He has been on the road for 4 years. I have met families who have been traveling for 10-12 years. They love it.
The picnic table we used to color my hair is my all purpose table. I only have one. It is used has our office to send and receive e-mails, write letters, cooking, putting on makeup, playing games and you name it.
I must laugh and be grateful for the beautiful sky, my dry tent, great sleeping bag, great husband, and I could go on and on.
Right now we are in VA, but we leave tomorrow for Lake Placid. My son and his sister-in-law are particating in the IronMan race. They will swim 2.4 miles, run 110 miles, and ran a marathon 26.2 miles. I am going to watch and cheer him on. That is one of his million dollar dreams. This is being posted after the race and I am pleased to report that both of them finished through some of the worst weather they have had in the ten years of running the race. It rained from the time they finished the swim until just before my son finished 15 hours later. His sister-in-law finished an hour and a half before him.
My home based business allows me the time and money to travel and see and enjoy the world. This whole experience has been life changing. Ten years ago I was working 50/60 hours per week selling yellow pages. My time was not my own. I worked all the time. I took my paperwork with me wherever I went.
All of our kids think their parents have lost our minds. I wish I had learned about a home based business years ago. I would have fired my boss and hit the road.

Not that many people may remember those funny little gifts you give to close friends in the past. Those gifts that when given to a particular person often gets them to laugh out loud since they are naughty yet hilarious were popular in the 50s to the 80s. When you talk about authentic vintage gag gifts, these are actually what you might call collectibles and are often those gag gifts that were made in the 50s to the 70s. Very few people can find these things for sale these days and when they do, memories of those days when they had fun with these gag gifts and novelty items seem to flood back. Filed Under : Articles by admin Jun.13,2010For me, funny best man speeches are the best! Some wedding speeches are serious and moving, which is good since marriage is a serious thing. However, I still prefer to laugh instead of cry in a wedding. Well, that was just me.
Funny speeches serve the double purpose of honoring the bride and groom and entertaining the wedding crowd. However, keep in mind that best man speech jokes should be funny, but not insinuating or rude.
Rule number one: don’t humiliate the groom, the bride and their families. Take note that you have older people in the audience who will not appreciate rude remarks, even if the groom is your best friend.
I have used best man speech jokes during my best friend’s wedding when I was tasked with delivering one of the wedding speeches. He wasn’t a very good dancer, you see, and that worked to my advantage.
I told anecdotes about his dancing abilities, but kept it balanced by praising his talent in the field he has chosen (e.g., he’s such an awful dancer he ended up becoming a great engineer!)
The thing about best man speeches is that they are meant to make fun of the groom. I did make fun of my best friend’s dancing, his sports abilities and his days in school.
However, jokes should not include implied or direct remarks about the groom’s past relationships. This will not sit well with members of the bride’s family and the bride especially! More than likely, the groom will not find it funny either.
Teasing the newlyweds kept the audience interested and elicited a lot of reactions which kept the event entertaining. Be careful to keep the teasing just that, though. Too much sexual innuendos might not fly too well with other family members. You can tease them about their relationship, but don’t be crass.
After making the audience laugh, don’t forget to toast the bride and groom and their families. Wedding toasts are made when wedding speeches are winding down, and it is no different with best man speeches.
In my best man speech, I offered a toast to the bride and groom’s future and thanked their families. After the best man speech jokes, I shifted gears and expressed a heartfelt, serious wish for the couple’s happiness.

For any party to be a success there has to be fun and laughter and this can be achieved with the right person taking on the role as a modern day Court Jester at your party. Gags and jokes is the most popular of party pieces that are recited to fill the air with laughter – even game activities will excite all those who participate in the fun. When you have decided on who will entertain your guests then it would be wise to let them perform and steal the show in their own way because these types of people that act in a jesters way will always prove to be funny – no matter what they do.
Clowns are a great way to keep kiddies happy at a party and also at an adults gathering too. Never rule out the famous circus clown for getting laughs. Clowns are noted for fooling around and doing tricks.
A guaranteed way of getting laughs is always at some other persons expense – so unfortunately there has to be a victim so if you are planning to play a prank on someone then be sure will they take it all in good fun – if not avoid that person.
Jokesters who play tricks need to check with the host of the party and gather some information on what they think will go down well with the audience etc.
Fancy dress parties are a definite party success choice – because everyone loves dressing up and you can rest assured that the laughs will be ten a penny when each guest is greeted on arrival dressed as – The Hulk – Adam and Eve or the Court Jester.

Another way of spicing up the occasion is to have music – the likes of gimmick songs go down really well – where all the guests get a two in one package with this type of entertainment – for example, they get to enjoy themselves on top of reaching vocal heights where they now become the entertainer.
What of the court jester with all his silly antics who never got the chance to perform in front of royalty, well he was left to amuse the people on the street – so why not turn your party into a street celebration. The court jester entertained with song and dance routines while playing a musical instrument – juggling or doing acrobatics. The history of the jester turned minstrel still lives on – in our street buskers.
Remember with careful planning you can throw a party or ball fit for a queen and by getting it right – down to the last detail it is then you know you have succeeded.
