The thing is I’m not funny to someone until I know them better and find out what makes them laugh. How do I change this?
Are there things which can make everyone laugh? I’m not really sure if there are. I for one have a really crazy and uncommon sense of humour, as do some of my friends.

I even laugh at myself when I fall down.

Lately, I’ve noticed that these student librarians laugh and make jokes about me every time I enter and exit the library. “oh my god he’s always here. I see him walking around like all the time. Oh my god hahahahahaa does he ever sleep? Like oh my god.”

My daughter has never learnt to laugh at herself, so she’ll always get upset and over-defensive if any jokes around with her. I’ve seen her do it a lot with her friends when they say things which they aren’t meant to be hurtful or mocking, but she can’t lighten-up about them. She’s quite immature for her age, but this just seems like something she needs to be capable of. Does anyone have any suggestion?

This person I work with has a nervous laugh. You can hear them coming a mile away. Here’s a sample of a conversation:
You: Hi, how was your weekend?
Them: It was ok *laugh*. Didn’t do too much, ya know? *laugh*
You: Cool, well see you later.
Them: *laugh* Ok. *laugh*
*Continue laughing ad nauseum.* God, it’s annoying!
